Furniture China 2015 will create a new peak again in Pudong, Shanghai in September

Shanghai is bound to be a focus of global furniture industry in September 2015. Situated in Shanghai—such an international trade bridgehead for 21 years, Furniture China has successfully become one of the most significant trade platforms in global furniture industry depending on its keen insight into domestic and overseas economic trends and orientations, contributing to pushing Shanghai to be an international metropolis of design. Furniture China has won increasingly higher reputation in domestic and overseas industry through years of constant efforts to promote the quality of it and the items on display in the exhibition.

The exhibition will continue to facilitate the transition of China’s furniture, and endeavor to make China a global furniture power. After hitting a record high in terms of the number of overseas visitors in 2014, the overseas pre-registered visitors has made better performance with double-digit growth this year. And according to customs data in the first half of the year, the total China’s furniture export from January to July reached RMB 188.4 billion, increasing by 7.6% compared with the same period of the previous year.

Contemporary furniture is the main driving force at the exhibition. According to statistics of official proceedings, the number of contemporary furniture enterprises that are confirmed to participate in the 21st China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China 2015) is already higher than other globally well-known exhibitions, becoming one of the core competitiveness of the exhibition.

Original design and upstream-downstream industrial chain have been always advocated by the exhibition organizers in order to boost industrial transition and upgrade. Now the design elements at Furniture China have been well-reputed in the industry, with numerous design masters present at the exhibition where colorful design activities attract considerable designers. In order to proceed with the design brand and competitiveness, in 2015, the organizers will mark a variety of activities and events concerning design elements with “That’s Mine” and spread it throughout the city as a new brilliant design landmark in Shanghai. “That’s Mine” Design Exhibition covers: DOD (Design of Designers), Hall E8B Design Exhibition, Design Conference and Forum, Designers’ Night, Shanghai Home Design Week, Home Plus, The Sofa of China… etc.

Furniture China 2015 will still take place at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) in Pudong, Shanghai. A total of 3,000 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions around the world will roll out millions of the latest products in original design and lifestyle at the exhibition area of 350,000 square meters. In addition to pavilions from France, Belgium, Spain, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and South Korea, Turkey and Australia pavilions will participate for the first time this year. As many as 248 overseas enterprises will be present, and this year furniture enterprises from Switzerland and Brazil will make their debut in China market as well. Domestic high-end mainstream enterprises such as Kuka Home, Manwah, Scihome, Meng-ying, Zuoyou and Kinwai will, as always, enthusiastically participate in the exhibition. In the meanwhile, our exhibition are highly supported by 800 sqm high-end Italian presences such as ALESSANDERX, LINEA ARGENTI, EUROLUCE, D.B.F., KEOMA, COMPOSAD, GRUPPO BUONINFANTE, HALLEY, MASCA etc.

According to the latest statistics from China National Furniture Association, China owns 37 great named furniture industrial clusters since the first characteristic region was named in 2003, the majority of which are manufacturing ones distributing in 12 provinces, wherein the main furniture manufacturing provinces including Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu pocket 14 industrial clusters. This year, brilliant representatives from industrial cluster districts, covering e-commerce, metal furniture, soft furniture and classical furniture, unanimously gather at the SWEECC to display “power of China” to the world.

After 20 years of glory, the China International Furniture Expo (Furniture China) ushers in a new chapter of the next twenty years.
